bee b&b | Wood, Bioplastic | Variable Dimensions

bee b&b is an open-source set of 3D printable files. These modules take the form of truncated octahedrons, allowing them to tile in three directions in space. Anyone who downloads these modules can print them and assemble their own bee b&b, consisting of bee beds, flower planters, and structural elements.
More About Bee b&b

The Dentist |  Polystyrene, Dental Floss | 76in x 18in x 3in

This is a flosser the size of a human being, shown in conjunction with a gallery of different brands and forms of flossers. Thinking about our relationship with the things we use, a shift in scale can change the dynamic drastically. The viewer interacts with a six foot flosser in a very different way than how they would interact with a three inch flosser.

WOW! | ABS Plastic | 4in x 18in x 2in

WOW! exists as an exercise in the exploration of form and texture in their relation to the communicative text. I intended to create something which did not appear to be 3D printed, perhaps causing confusion or awe, and in doing so created a self-referential piece of work.

67,500 Lines of Code and Bees Just Do It. | Plaster | 7in x 7in x 1in each

These honeycomb objects are cast in plaster from a 3D printed original. Each one is incredibly thin and fragile, a material statement in reference to the fragility of our pollinating insects. The honeycombs dangle precariously in a precise hexagonal grid, shifting as people walk by.

STELLA & IRENE | Ink on Eggs, Acrylic on Balsa |   2.5in x 6in x 3.5in

Stella and Irene were my mother's first hens. This project was created as a Mothers' Day gift to her. The eggs were hollowed out and preserved from the inside before chickens were delicately drawn on the surface of the eggshells.
